European Market Amidst the Energy Crisis: Demand for High-Efficiency Gas Water Heaters Surges – How Can the Supply Chain Respond?

According to the latest data released by the European Heat Products Association (EHI), demand for condensing gas water heaters with a thermal efficiency of 90% or above in the EU has increased by a staggering 187% year-on-year over the past six months. Meanwhile, sales of traditional standard-efficiency models (less than 80% efficiency) have fallen by nearly 30%.

Faced with this drastic shift in market demand, leading manufacturers are accelerating their technological innovation.

The Greaidea team's technical director stated, "We anticipated this trend and proactively developed high-efficiency condensing technology. Our third-generation concentrated energy combustion system currently achieves 90% thermal efficiency and saves up to 80% of natural gas."

The team optimized the water heater combustion chamber design, integrating a double-layer enclosed combustion chamber for concentrated heat and greater energy efficiency. It also uses an inlet filter and oxygen-free copper tubing for dual purification.

Industry analysts predict that the trend toward high energy efficiency will not change despite fluctuations in energy prices. The upcoming implementation of higher energy efficiency standards in the EU will further drive technological upgrades.

For prepared manufacturers, this crisis also presents significant opportunities. Those that can quickly respond to market changes and provide cost-effective, energy-efficient products are expected to gain a larger market share.
